1937-1954 Kaywoodie Flame Grain Chesterfield
Kaywoodie Flame Grain Imported Briar Chesterfield. This is one beautiful pipe. From my research, this pipe is from 1937 to 1954. No shape numbers. The silver band does show signs of use with a few dents, but it polished up well. Features a moisture well that is identical to the Peterson System Pipe. No stinger on stem. Army mount bit. Draft hole is straight and is not a P-lip style with the upturned draft hole. Kaywoodie clover logo on stem is the black clover surrounded by white circle, which was often used to indicate finer grade pipes.
Bowl has been reamed and scrubbed with alcohol, entire pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized as well as sweetened. The stem was deoxidized and polished. Bowl was restrained and refinished, then waxed and buffed.
This great pipe is ready to be smoked upon receipt.
